LANGSTON CHAPEL MIDDLE SCHOOL — (Statesboro) A student was arrested for stealing another student’s cell phone.
SANDALWOOD CIRCLE — (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of a metal break tool.
U.S. 80 EAST — (Brooklet) A man told deputies someone broke into a vending machine and removed an undetermined amount of money.

The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of Nov. 10-16:
Animals received:
Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — 13 dogs and three cats.
Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — three dogs and four cats.
Portal city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — one cat.
Surrendered by citizens — four dogs and two cats.
Number in litters surrendered — 19 puppies and a kitten.
Animals out:
Shelter adoptions — nine dogs and one cat.
Pets & People adoptions — six dogs and three cats.
Returned to owners — one dog.
Euthanized — 10 dogs and 32 cats from isolation, one dog and one cat from adoption floor.
Humane Enforcement calls:
Court summons/citations — six.
Warnings — 23.
Money collected:
Adoption fees — $690.
Surrender fees — $10.
