Statesboro Police Arrests          

            Michael Chatman, 45, Ga. 24 — leaving the scene of an accident/hit and run; failure to maintain lane, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, DUI (refused test).

                       

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests           

            No arrests filed.

           

Georgia State Patrol Arrests

            Troopers issued 48 traffic violation citations Sunday.

            Michael Clarence Gordon, 23, White Way, Metter — DUI (refused test).

            Jose A. Rodriguez, 32, Vandyke Lane, Dudley, NC — DUI (.258).

            Julian Nieto, 18, Metter — DUI under 21 (.038)         

                         

Georgia Southern University Arrests

            SATURDAY — Officers issued one traffic citation.

            SUNDAY — Officers issued one traffic citation.          

             

Statesboro Police Incidents      

            PLAYERS CLUB APARTMENTS — A complainant reported an automobile break-in and listed two bottles of cologne - Victoria's Secret Very Sexy and Calvin Klein's Euphoria - missing.

            DENMARK STREET — A man fled after striking a utility pole with his car, but police located him and arrested him. He suffered a minor laceration to his head, which EMS treated at the scene, but he refused transportation to the hospital and refused a breath test for DUI. He was charged with DUI (refused test) as well as leaving the scene of an accident/hit and run; failure to maintain lane, reckless driving,  and driving with a suspended license.

            EAST PARRISH STREET — Police responding to a report of a truck in a ditch spoke with the truck owner, who was at the scene. He denied having driven the truck into the ditch but could not identify the  man whom he said had been driving, and police could not locate the alleged driver. The truck had no insurance, but due to lack of evidence, no citations were issued.

            WILDWOOD VILLAS — A woman asked for police assistance when she could not get her elderly aunt to answer the door. The aunt was found in need of medical assistance and transported to the hospital.

            EAGLE INN — A woman said a man choked her, but he denied the accusation and there was no physical evidence of a struggle.

           

Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents

Georgia State Patrol Incidents  

            Troopers issued 56 warnings, assisted five motorists, made one emergency relay of blood or medical supplies and investigated two crashes with no reported injuries Sunday.

                       

Georgia Southern University Incidents

            KENNEDY HALL — Someone took a teddy bear from a room, and then cut the Internet cable.

            In a separate incident, someone reported a text book was taken from the premises.

            EAGLE VILLAGE — An I-pod was taken from a vehicle in the parking lot.

            In a separate incident, someone reported a digital camera missing.

            FRIDAY —  Officers issued two traffic warnings, investigated three traffic accidents, and assisted eight motorists and one injured person.

            SATURDAY — Officers issued one traffic citation and one traffic warning, investigated one traffic accident, and assisted three motorists.

            JOHNSON HALL — Someone reported a car was scratched in the parking lot.

            SATURDAY — Officers issued one traffic citation and two traffic warnings, assisted three motorists, and responded to one alarm.

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Bulloch County Sheriff's Department — 10 calls.

            Statesboro Police Department — 23  calls.

            Georgia State Patrol Post 45 — five calls.

            Candler County Sheriff's Department — five calls.

            Evans County Sheriff's Department — one call.

           

911 Fire Department Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Statesboro Fire Department — one call.

            Bulloch County volunteer firefighters — two calls.

            Metter Fire Department — three  calls.

                       

911 EMS Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following call Sunday:

            Bulloch County EMS — one rescue call and 13 medical calls.  

            Candler County EMS — one accident call and six medical calls. 

            Evans County EMS — two medical calls.   

            Central 911 operators also routed a call to Swainsboro Police; a call to Tattnall County, a call to Screven County and a call to Wayne County.
