The Statesboro Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department and Subway will play host Friday to the annual Cotton Pickin' Harvest Festival at Mill Creek Park beginning at 6 p.m.
For the past two years, the Recreation Department has created an environment for children and their families to be a part of a safe, and fun alternative to the traditional Halloween trick or treat. The festival will have a costume contest, candy, games, hayrides and two movies.
Children can trick or treat at numerous candy stops. The hayrides will be provided by Meinhardt Vineyards, and inflatables on behalf of Party Harbor and Benton Metal Depot. The Chick-fil-A cow will make a special visit as well!
Families will later be able to enjoy "It1s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "Casper" on the big screen after dark.
For more information regarding the Cotton Pickin' Festival, contact the Recreation Department at (912)-764-5637 or visit the website at www.bullochrec.com.
