‘Clean up the Boro’ set for Saturday

Keep Statesboro Bulloch Beautiful and the City of Statesboro are preparing for their annual fall clean-up event, now titled “Clean Up the Boro,” on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Bulloch County Courthouse Square.

Groups and individuals are invited to volunteer between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to help clean up areas around Statesboro. When groups and individuals check-in, they will get a map and some supplies for the clean-up event.

This year, the City of Statesboro is encouraging residents to place white goods – washing machines, dryers, stoves – tires and yard debris by the road to help clean up private properties. The items will be removed from the city’s right of ways the following week. No chemicals or paints are allowed to be set out.
