City garbage collection resumes 6 a.m. Friday

After a two-day suspension prompted by Hurricane Dorian, Statesboro’s city garbage collection will resume beginning at 6 a.m. Friday.

Both the Wednesday and Thursday routes will be collected Friday, the city administration announced, and asked that residents place their carts at curbside.

City Hall and other city facilities closed during storm preparedness reopened at 11 a.m. Thursday.
