Child injured in possible lightning strike

A child was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a “possible lightning strike,” Bulloch County Public Safety Director Ted Wynn confirmed.

Around 3:15 p.m., Bulloch County EMS received a call about a child “breathing, but not responsive” at a South College Street location, he said.

Bulloch County EMS was unable to confirm the call or give details of the incident due to privacy laws. The condition of the child is not yet known.
