A former sales executive with the Statesboro Herald and advertising manager in Savannah, Reagan Daly has returned to Morris Multimedia as general manager for Statesboro Magazine.
"Reagan Daly has been very successful in every job the company has asked her to fill," said Joe McGlamery, publisher of Statesboro Magazine, "and we are confident that under her leadership, Statesboro Magazine will achieve even greater success."
Statesboro Magazine was started 15 years ago by Andrea Powell. Statesboro Publishing Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Savannah-based Morris Multimedia, purchased the magazine in 2006. Statesboro Magazine is published six times a year and highlights the people, places, and things in the Statesboro area through local stories that blend the history of the area into profiles of the people who make up the community today.
"It's great to be back in Statesboro and I thank Joe for giving me the opportunity to manage such a fine publication," Daly said. "I look forward to building on the great reputation Statesboro Magazine has earned through the years of telling great stories about the people and events in our community."
Originally from Pawleys Island, S.C., Daly graduated in 2001 from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. She came to work as an advertising account executive with the Statesboro Herald in 2008. She created Moments Magazine in 2010 and won the Herald Innovation Award for Moments in 2012. Daly was named advertising manager for Savannah Media, overseeing advertising for Connect Savannah and the Savannah Pennysaver, among other publications.
Daly also has served as host for the BoroLive news show on statesboroherald.com from 2009-2012 and currently serves as co-host for the Statesboro Herald Report, which is shown on Northland Cable Channel 2 and statesboroherald.com.
She returned to Statesboro earlier this month to take over as general manager for Statesboro Magazine.
"Reagan was a very effective account executive with the Statesboro Herald, creator of Moments monthly magazine, winner of the Herald's Innovation Award in 2012, and she did an excellent job for our company last year as Advertising Manager for our publications and websites at Savannah Media," McGlamery said. "We could not be happier to have her back in Statesboro."
Daly is married to Michael and they have a son, Kellen, 8.
