Toyota Motor Sales has awarded the Toyota President's Award for 2008 to Franklin Toyota in Statesboro for the third consecutive year. Franklin is the only dealer in the Savannah-Statesboro area to receive the award for 2006, 2007 and 2008.
"This marks the third consecutive year that our team has been honored by our customers as being one of the most outstanding Toyota dealerships in the country. It's wonderful that our customers recognize that and rate us so highly," said Scott Noblitt, general sales manager of Franklin Toyota Scion. "This honor is a testament to the commitment, and drive of our talented sales, service and parts departments to maintain the quality of service required to be a recipient of this coveted award."
Each year, Toyota Motor Sales recognizes its most outstanding dealerships with the President's Award. It is the highest honor for a dealership to receive from Toyota, and is only awarded to those dealerships that demonstrate a commitment to maintaining Toyota's highest standards for customer satisfaction.
"Receiving this honor for the third year in a row lets us know we made the right decision to build Toyota's "Image USAII" model, which at the time was only the second in the state," said Robbie Franklin, Owner of Franklin Toyota Scion. "Bulloch County's economic development and future growth potential are a big part of the reason we chose to expand Franklin Toyota. I wanted to be a positive contributor to the community that's supported my businesses for almost 70 years."
The Franklin family has been in the automotive business since 1940 when Lehman Franklin, Sr., bought Marsh Chevrolet. His son, Robbie Franklin, has been a Toyota dealer since 1977, and has been in the automotive business since 1964 when he joined his father at Franklin Chevrolet. Franklin Toyota Scion in Statesboro offers the complete line of Toyota and Scion cars, trucks, vans and SUVs, and is located in Statesboro, on the bypass, at 500 Commerce Drive.
In order to qualify as a President's Award winner, dealerships must excel in each of a series of categories, including customer sales satisfaction and customer service satisfaction. Dealerships that meet the requirements in all categories receive name badge recognition at all dealer events, national recognition in an Automotive News advertisement and the President's Award Tiffany crystal trophy.
