Bulloch First will break ground on construction of Statesboro's newest bank on Friday at 10 a.m.
The public is invited to the ceremony and light refreshments will follow the ground-breaking. The new bank will be located on the corner of Brampton Avenue and Merchant Way in the Market District. An innovative banking design new to Statesboro and Bulloch County will guide the construction.
Bulloch First is a division of Citizens Bank of Swainsboro.
The Citizens Bank was established in 1900 as a state-chartered community bank and has a 115-year history of providing community banking services, with offices located in Swainsboro, Dublin and Statesboro.
Since Fall 2015, Bulloch First has been open and operating in the Market District under the leadership of President Gary Johnson, Vice President of Operations Gay Dailey and Vice President of Lending Wes Simmons.
Johnson, Dailey and Simmons are bankers with a long history of experience and commitment to Bulloch County and are invested in the Statesboro community.
Earlier this year, Abby Donaldson joined the team as a community banking associate.
