Bulloch County RV park application public hearing postponed
Bulloch County Seal PNG

A public hearing on a rezoning request for property near Bulloch Academy has been postponed until April 9. It originally was scheduled for tonight.

The Bulloch County Planning and Zoning Commission is considering the request, which would allow for an RV park to be built within sight of BA's campus.

A notice posted Thursday on the county's website, www.bullochcounty.net, states: "The applicant for the RV Park and Campground on Veterans Memorial Parkway across from Bulloch Academy has paid for an applicant deferral. The item will be re-advertised in the paper and will be heard at the April 9th Planning and Zoning Commission meeting."

The staff review of the application also can be found on that site. Bulloch County staff recommends that the application be denied, and the proposal has caused concern among BA parents and staff about the possibility of "transient" people staying near an area where schoolchildren play.
