A personnel matter involving a Brooklet police officer will be the reason for a special called meeting of the Brooklet City Council Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. at Brooklet City Hall. Brooklet police Chief Doug Meyer met with City Council members, City Attorney Hugh Hunter and Officer Sean Berry and his attorneys Tuesday afternoon, and the decision was made not to take any immediate action but instead hold the called meeting, Meyer said. Neither he nor Brooklet Mayor William Hendrix would discuss details of the situation regarding Berry, except to say it is a personnel matter.
