A woman was found dead Tuesday afternoon in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Enmarket store on Highway 301 North.

Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch said the woman's name is not yet being released, pending notification of family members. Her driver's license listed a Port Wentworth address, he said.

Bulloch County sheriff's Chief Deputy Bill Black said there is no foul play suspected at this time in the 53-year-old woman's death.

"There were no signs of foul play immediately apparent," he said. "Video footage at the store revealed no suspicious activity in the available time frame and views."

Deputies arrived at the scene shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday after someone reported finding the woman, according to incident reports.

The body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Savannah for an autopsy and toxicology tests, according to Futch.

Black said the Sheriff's Office will not comment on the cause or manner of death until they hear from the GBI medical examiner regarding the autopsy results.
