A man died Monday morning after an accidental gunshot that occurred while he was cleaning his car at a Fair Road car wash. Statesboro police responded around 8 a.m. to Flash Car Wash, next to the Statesboro Fire Department, where they found the body of Timothy Hal Cartee, 48, who "appeared to have been in the process of cleaning his vehicle when the incident occurred," said Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner. "Foul play is not suspected and the death is being investigated as an accidental discharge."
