The Boys and Girls Club Choir will offer its debut performance Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. inside the First United Methodist Church of Statesboro on South Main Street. The free concert is open to the public, and the community is encouraged to attend the inaugural display of musical talent from the Statesboro club. Slightly more than a dozen third- through fifth-grade students will sing under the direction of Dr. Tamara Harper, accompanied by pianist Wemberley Ponder and with help from Boys and Girls Club staff assistant Gloria Boney.
