About 11 percent of registered Bulloch County voters took advantage of the early voting period, which ended Friday. The rest will get their chance at the polls on Tuesday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. In addition to contested races for superior court judge, probate court judge and Board of Education seats, as well as a Republican primary for sheriff, nine candidates are seeking election to three seats on the Bulloch County Board of Commissioners, only one of which has an incumbent in the running. Seat 2C, to be vacated Dec. 31 by incumbent Roy Thompson, who is running unopposed for chairman of the Board of Commissioners, is sought by Jappy Stringer and Gail Dismuke in the Republican primary and Gene Anderson in the Democratic primary.
