Three people were arrested after officers found a large amount of crystal methamphetamine in a Stilson-area home, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators with the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team were conducting a narcotics investigation Wednesday in Stilson when they found Benjamin Allen Roberts, 30, of J.W. Lane Road, according to a sheriff's office news release issued Friday.

Roberts tried to flee from the back door of a residence when investigators arrived, but he was quickly taken into custody, the sheriff's office said.

Also at the home were Brandy Roberts, 26, of J.W. Lane Road, and Jeffery McBride, 50, of Georgia Highway 119. A subsequent search of the home revealed a large amount of crystal meth and several drug-related objects, according to the news release.

Benjamin Roberts was found to have an active parole warrant from Arkansas, the release says.

The three individuals were arrested and taken to the Bulloch County Jail.

Roberts is being held without bond pending extradition on possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and the parole violation.

Brandy Roberts was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and hindering the apprehension of a fugitive. McBride was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
