A Statesboro man has been missing since Thanksgiving night, and his parents hope someone will have information that will help locate Harrison Wayne Olliff.

His parents, Wayne and Linda Olliff, are unsure of a report that their 21-year-old son drove to Cobbtown.

A man who was staying at Olliff's house told Bulloch County Sheriff's investigators Harrison left his Olliff Road home Thursday, heading for the small Tattnall County town.

However, Olliff's parents are unaware of any friends their son may have there.

Olliff has been missing since Thanksgiving; his girlfriend phoned his parents Friday night after a day of no contact with him, Wayne Olliff said. "She thought he was with us and we thought he was with her."

Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said Olliff is believed to have left his home "of his own will, alone in a 2005 silver Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck." Investigations led to a possibility that he planned to go to Cobbtown, but Wayne Olliff said "we don't really know that."

In spite of reports Olliff may have been headed to Cobbtown, "We have not confirmed that," Wayne Olliff said. "He has never left home and not contacted us. He has no friends that I am aware of in Cobbtown."

Harrison spoke to his girlfriend on the phone very early Friday morning, and he told her "he was playing a game and he was going to go to bed," Wayne Olliff said. When she had not heard from him Friday evening, that's when she called his parents.

Olliff is not answering his cell phone. Calls go immediately to voice mail.

Harrison Olliff is believed to be driving a 2005 silver Chevrolet Colorado with a "Nesmith Walker" drive-out tag or a Georgia tag APR 9338, Anderson said.

Olliff stands about 5'8", and weighs about 130 pounds. His father described his hair as sandy brown, and he has green eyes.

Wayne Olliff asked that anyone who knows anything please contact law enforcement, and sent the message to his son: "call home if you can."

Information can be confidentially given to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Department at 912-764-1771 or 764-8888, asking for the on-call investigator, Anderson said.
