Forty homes will be on display this weekend during the annual Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Homebuilders Association of Statesboro.
"This is a way for builders to showcase their products," said Tim Durden, president of the homebuilders association. "Most of the homes on the tour are on the market."
The parade runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday with homes in 16 subdivisions on display. Durden said the tour is an excellent opportunity to see the newest trends in homes and the latest styles.
"We're fortunate to have a lot of great homebuilders in Statesboro and the market is doing very well," he said.
Approximately 15 subdivisions will be on display in and around Statesboro.
Durden said someone will be in each home to answer questions from prospective buyers. Those interested in finding out which homes will be open can get a free tour guide and several local businesses.
Interested home buyers can visit any of the homes any time during the parade. Homes on the tour sell from the low 100s to the mid 400s, Durden said.
"There's a wide range of homes on the market," he said. "I think it'll be a great weekend to buy. If you're looking for an existing home on the market, these builders went above and beyond  to get these homes ready for the tour and I think you'll see some fabulous homes this weekend."
