Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Spivey of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Jane Spivey, to Daniel Arthur Quinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Quinn of Hazlehurst.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Billie Jane Deal and the late Billy Joe Deal of Statesboro and the late Elder Ivy and Mildred Spivey of Statesboro. Rachel is a 2011 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in public health from Georgia Southern University in 2016. She also holds a BS in nursing as of May 2020, granting her a Double Eagle status from Georgia Southern University. 

The groom-elect is the grandson of Sarah Quinn and the late L.A. Quinn Jr. of Hazlehurst and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Beall of Hazlehurst. Daniel is a 2006 graduate of Jeff Davis High School and received a technical degree in industrial electrical maintenance in 2009 from Ogeechee Technical College. He is currently employed at Georgia Power, where he is in his third and final year of apprenticeship to become a journeyman lineman.

The couple is planning an August wedding.
