Eugene and Kathleen Barnwell Mincey of Brooklet, Ga., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 3, 2013. They were married in Statesboro, Ga., on October 3, 1953, at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Gus Groover. On Sunday, October 6, they were honored with a family dinner hosted by their three daughters and their husbands — Debbie (Jimmy) Kennedy and Charlene (Ray) Robbins, all of Statesboro, and Sandy McElveen of Richmond Hill, Ga. — and their seven grandchildren and spouses. The Minceys also have seven great-grandchildren.
