Craig and Janet Mercer and Leslie Bush, all of Atlanta, Georgia, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Morgan Christine Mercer, to Charles Bradley “Chas” Shiels Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bradley Shiels of Statesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dawley of Oak Island, North Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. John Wesson of Greenville, South Carolina. Morgan received a BS in mechanical engineering from Georgia Southern University in 2016. She is a member of Delta Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta sorority. She is currently employed by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, South Carolina.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Shiels of Statesboro. Chas received a BS in mechanical engineering from Georgia Southern University in 2015. He is a member of Eta Zeta chapter of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is currently employed by Textron Specialized Vehicles in Augusta, Georgia.

The ceremony and reception will be held on April 7, 2018, at 6 p.m. at The Mackey House in Savannah, Georgia.
