Mr. Chris Matten of Annapolis, Md., and Ms. Claire Corcoran of Baltimore, Md., announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Matten of Frederick, Md., to Adam Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jon and Mickey Martin of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Daniel and Yvonne Corcoran of Cherry Hill, N.J., and the late Elwood and Helen Matten of Catasauqua, Pa. Erin received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and her Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Georgia. She works as a professional counselor.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Lawrence and Charlotte Martin of Rumson, N.J., and Mary Ellen Connor and the late Joe Connor of Barnwell, S.C. Adam received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern and his Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Georgia. He works at GSU's Counseling and Career Development Center as a counselor.
    The couple plans to wed in December 2010.
