Mr. and Mrs. Brian Lanier are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Ariel Nicole Lanier, to John Benjamin Wise.
    Ariel is the great-granddaughter of Olene Lanier and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lanier and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Grice as well as the late Henry Bolton. She is a 2010 graduate of Portal High School and a 2015 graduate of the Medical Assisting Program at Ogeechee Technical College. Ariel is currently a certified medical assistant at St. Joseph's/Candler Medical Group in Pooler, Georgia.
    John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Joseph Wise. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Russell Pierce and the late Mr. Hudson B. Wise and the late Mrs. Geraldine Wise. He is a 2007 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a 2012 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering. John is currently a mechanical engineer at Hargrove Engineers + Constructors.
    The couple has decided to exchange vows on October 3, 2015, at the Camelot Cabin in Statesboro, Georgia. The reception is to follow.
