Mr. and Mrs. James Marvin Franklin of Pulaski, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Marie Franklin of Pulaski, to Ernest Arthur "Ty" Tyson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Arthur Tyson.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Hazel Williams and the late Lamon Williams. Paternal grandparents are the late J.R. and Myrtis Franklin. Lindsay is a 2002 graduate of Metter High School and graduated in 2008 from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is employed as a nurse manager at The Women’s Surgery Center.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Joann Thompson and the late Dan Thompson. Paternal grandparents are Mrs. Lois Fortner and the late Herbert Fortner and the late Ernest Arthur Tyson. Ty is a 2000 graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy and graduated in 2006 from Georgia Southern University with a degree in construction management. He is co-owner and president of Tyson Utilities Construction, Inc.
    The couple has planned to wed on April 26, 2014, at 5 p.m. at the bride’s parents’ cabin.
