Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Collins of Lawrenceville, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Kathleen of Lawrenceville, to Scott Alan Sarratt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Sarratt.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Collins and Glenn Ott and Victoria Ott. Erin graduated from Collins Hill High School in Lawrenceville in 2008 and received her undergraduate degree in exercise science from Georgia State University, where she was also a pitcher for the softball team. She received her master’s in middle grades education from Mercer and is currently teaching eighth grade math for Gwinnett County Public Schools.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Sarratt and Duane Zerger and the late Donna Zerger. Scott graduated from Statesboro High School in 2009 and received his chemistry degree from Georgia State University, where he was also the catcher for the baseball team. He is currently the director of Grounds and Facilities for Georgia State University.

The couple is planning to wed on July 14, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Carlyle House in Norcross, Georgia.
