Mr. and Mrs. Jim Aziz of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth "Betsy" Aziz of Atlanta, to Matthew Ryan Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Young of Conyers, Georgia.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Laura W. Aziz and the late Mitchell Aziz of Statesboro and Mrs. Shirley Morris and the late Richard Morris of Statesboro. A 2007 graduate of Statesboro High School, Betsy is a 2011 graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a 2012 graduate of the University of Georgia with a masters of accountancy in taxation. She is a certified public accountant currently employed by Ernst & Young in Atlanta.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Paula Schaedel and the late Dave Schaedel of Conyers and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bud Young. He is a 2008 graduate of Rockdale County High School and is a 2012 graduate of Mercer University with a BBA in finance. He is currently employed by the Piedmont Group of Atlanta.
    The couple is planning to wed on September 26, 2015, at 5 p.m. in Newton Chapel on the campus of Mercer University.
