Mr. and Mrs. Donald K. Roberson of Brooklet are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Valerie Kae Roberson, to James Matthew Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary H. Morris of Stilson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carleton Baker of Wildwood, Fla., and Mrs. Loretta Lenardson of Nevada and the late Mr. Rodger Joseph Roberson of Ocala, Fla. Valerie is a 2004 honor graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a 2007 cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Shirley Morris of Stilson and the late Mr. James H. Morris of Swainsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Roberts of Brooklet. Matt is a 2002 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a 2007 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in history education with a minor in exercise science. Matt is also the head baseball coach of the South Georgia Raiders 18U traveling team.
The wedding ceremony will be at 6 o'clock on May 31, 2008, at the Brooklet United Methodist Church in Brooklet with a reception following at GSU’s Nessmith-Lane Continuing Education Building in Statesboro.
