Mr. and Mrs. James K. Ondriezek of Newington, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Krista DeeAnn Ondriezek of Newington, to Brian Thomas Powell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy J. Powell.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Jimmy P. Ondriezek and the late Mrs. Dorothy Helen Ondriezek of Sylvania and Mrs. Bonnie Ryscarder of Council Bluffs, Iowa. She is a 2002 graduate of Screven County High School and attended Georgia Southern University. She is an AFFA certified personal trainer in Statesboro.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. William M. Powell of Athens and Dr. and Mrs. Theodore B. Kalivoda of St. Louis, Mo., and the late Kay I. Kalivoda of Athens. He is a 2002 graduate of Bulloch Academy and attended Andrew College and Georgia Southern University. He currently owns and operates Statesboro Southern Scapes, a local landscaping business.
The couple has planned to wed on May 16th, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church.
