Anthony and Perette Morris of Willacoochee, Ga., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashleigh Perette, to Daniel Tucker Hunter. Daniel is the son of Dr. Clarence and Jane Hunter of Statesboro.

            The bride-elect is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Appie and the late Ottis Smith of Broxton, Ga. She is the maternal granddaughter of Earlie and Tommie Jean McQuaig of Broxton, Ga., and the paternal granddaughter of Ray and Sandra Morris of Willacoochee. Ashleigh is a 2004 graduate of Atkinson County High School. She will graduate from Valdosta State University in December of 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education.

            The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Eleanor and the late John Ramsey of Pittsburgh, Pa., and is the paternal grandson of Rhoda and the late Clarence Hunter Sr. of Douglas, Ga. Daniel is a 2002 graduate of Bulloch Academy. He is self-employed at Cellular Depot in Pearson, Ga.

            The wedding is planned for April 18, 2009, at 4:30 p.m. at The Upper Seventeen in Douglas.
