Mr. and Mrs. Ben David Martin of Brooklet announce the engagement of their daughter, Susannah Ruth Martin of Waynesboro, to Reginald Luke Lanier of Metter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Charles Lanier Jr. of Swainsboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Session King Jr. of Marietta and the late Mr. King and Mrs. M.P. Martin Jr. of Brooklet and the late Mr. Martin. Susannah is a 2003 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a 2007 graduate of The University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness. She is a member and served as vice president of Delta Zeta Sorority. Susannah is currently employed as a loan officer with AgGeorgia Farm Credit in Waynesboro.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. James Leroy Bynum of Fitzgerald and the late Mr. Bynum and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Charles Lanier Sr. of Metter. Luke is a 2003 graduate of David Emanuel Academy and a 2007 graduate of The University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics. He is a member and served as president of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. Luke is currently employed as a loan officer with Durden Banking Company in Twin City.
The wedding is planned for March 7, 2009, at 5 o'clock in the evening at Swainsboro First United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at The Coleman House Inn in Swainsboro.
