Mrs. Reginald Luke Lanier
    Susannah Ruth Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Martin of Brooklet, Ga., became the bride of Reginald Luke Lanier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Lanier of Swainsboro, on March 7, 2009, at the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church, Swainsboro, Ga. The Reverends Jimmy Towson and Wayne DeFore performed the double-ring ceremony.
    Mike King of Marietta, uncle of the bride; and Lt. Col. Lanier Ward of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., cousin of the groom, served as Scripture readers. The Rev. Wes Moye and Chap Cromley, both of Brooklet, served as communion stewards.
    Beth Milligan of Atlanta and Sierra Rice of Greenville, S.C., presented ceremony programs.
    Music was provided by John Neighbors of Swainsboro and Sunny Denmark of Brooklet.
    The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a diamond white strapless gown featuring lace detailing on the bodice. It was highlighted by a pleated waistband and covered buttons. The A-line skirt with a chapel-length train featured embroidered lace detail. Her fingertip-length veil of tulle was attached to a rhinestone and pearl headpiece embellished with Austrian crystals. She carried a diamond white satin wrapped bouquet of lily of the valley surrounded by white Holland tulips.
    Erin Hunter of Brooklet and Rachel Walters of Punta Gorda, Fla., sisters of the bride, served as matrons of honor.  Bridesmaids were Leah Lanier of Swainsboro, sister of the groom; Mary Bea Martin of Moultrie, cousin of the bride; Tyler Anderson of Atlanta, Kristin Brown of Kennesaw, Bridget Hillebrand of Baton Rouge, La., Marilynn Hopkins of Lyons, Lindsey Sexton of Marietta and Blair Wente of Brooklet. The attendants wore floor-length silhouette style strapless gowns of Amethyst chiffon. They carried clutch bouquets of pink Holland tulips.
    Sarah Grace Hunter of Brooklet and Mary Martin Walters of Punta Gorda, Fla., served as flower girls. They wore white raw silk Dupioni dresses with hand-embroidered necklines and waist tucks. They carried flower pomanders of pink carnations and tulips.
    Sidney Lanier of Swainsboro, father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were David Martin of Brooklet, brother of the bride; Bret Caudell of Collins, Trey Cutts of Marietta, Jim Faircloth of Omaha, Neb., Jason Faircloth of St. Augustine, Fla., Justin Franklin of Register, Philip Manning of Fitzgerald, Ward Mills of Ft. Gaines and Mat Thompson of Ochlocknee. Ushers were Max Demott of Hartsfield, Kevin Jarriel of Savannah, Jake Williams of Pelham and Steve Claxton, J.P. Williams and Zach Frye, all of Swainsboro.
    Tyler Hunter of Brooklet was the ring bearer.
    Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The Coleman House Inn.
    Mr. and Mrs. Burley Page of Kite and Mr. and Mrs. Butch Frye of Swainsboro greeted guests at the reception. The bride’s book was kept by Emily King of Marietta, cousin of the bride.
    Following a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Metter.
