    Mr. and Mrs. Russell T. Mangum of Augusta announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Leigh of Augusta, to James Farris “Jimbo” Lawson Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy F. Lawson of Leesburg, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin C. Septor of Summerville, S.C., and Mrs. Ruby G. Mangum of Summerville, S.C., and the late Mr. Edwin Mangum. Jenna is a 2002 graduate of Westside High School in Augusta and received a BS in Public Relations and Communication Arts from GSU in 2006. She is employed at Sea Island Bank.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Ms. Ruby Talkington of Highland, Ind., and the late Amos Anderson of Albany, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Lawson. James is a 1998 graduate of Lee County High School in Leesburg, Ga., and is a 2003 graduate of GSU with a BS in Natural and Cultural Resource Management. He is employed with Prudential-Kennedy Realty.
    The couple has planned to wed on October 4, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Enterprise Mill in Augusta.
