Dr. & Mrs. Hugh Hill Davis
     Miriam Amy MacGregor of Atlanta became the bride of Dr. Hugh Hill Davis of Dothan, Ala., on October 4, 2008, at 7 o'clock in the evening at the Lovely Lane Chapel at Epworth-By-The-Sea on St. Simons Island, Ga. The groom's father, Dr. Hugh L. Davis, officiated at the double ring ceremony.
      The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. MacGregor of Metter. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Hugh L. Davis of Thomasville, Ga.
      Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal, floor-length, sleeveless gown of ivory silk with a V-neck front and back. She carried a bouquet of roses accented with her great-grandmother's lace wedding handkerchief and the MacGregor tartan ribbon.
      Amy's attendants were her two brothers, Paul Scott MacGregor of Jacksonville, Fla., and Dr. Robert Gilmore MacGregor of Birmingham, Ala.
      Hugh's attendants were his three sisters, Deborah Davis Akin of San Diego, Calif., Karen Davis Stewart of Perry, Ga., and LeClaire Davis of Atlanta.
      Music was provided by Leslie Kaufman, harpist; Patrick Walsh, bagpipes; and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Stewart, vocalists.
      Following the ceremony, the bride's parents, hosted a seated-dinner reception at The Island Inn Hotel.
      On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Turner Lodge at Epworth-By-the-Sea.
      The couple honeymooned in Italy.
