Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Edward McBride
     Leigh Anna Lott and Garrett Edward McBride were united in marriage at three o'clock in the afternoon on September 20, 2008. The double ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Floyd Musgrove, uncle of the bride, at Trinity Church in Douglas, Ga.
      The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Smith and the late Brenda Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Lott of Douglas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry McBride of Statesboro.
      The bride, escorted by her father and stepfather, wore a white strapless A-line gown. The gown featured an embroidered bodice and an inverted front pleat that revealed embroidery. The back of the gown was accented with satin-covered buttons that flowed into the court train. The gown was complemented by an illusion veil and tiara. The bride carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.
      Kendra Merritt of Douglas, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna Wooten, cousin of the bride; and Caitlin Rowe, both of Douglas. Kaylee Bush of Douglas, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
      Bridesmaids wore floor-length black strapless gowns with white sashes and carried single white calla lilies.
      Larry McBride, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Corbi Altman of Statesboro and Hugh Thompson of Garden City, cousin of the groom. Sage Joiner of Douglas, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
      Kylee Merritt, niece of the bride; and Aeden Ikner, nephew of the groom; were miniature bride and groom.
Music was provided by Susie Kirkland, pianist and grandmother of the bride; and Gina Williams and Cliff Kirkland, soloists and cousins of the bride.
      Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Fletcher Pond House.
      The couple honeymooned in the Brunswick area and now resides in Douglas.
