Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Lanier Jr. of Millen announce the engagement of their daughter, Cullen Brooke, to Joshua Lewis Chance, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Chance Jr. of Alexander.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Sue Parker and the late Raiford J. Parker of Sylvania, Joyce Lanier and the late Charles W. Lanier Sr. of Millen and Martha Lanier of Hephzibah. Brooke is a 2004 graduate of Edmund Burke Academy. She graduated, cum laude, from Valdosta State University in 2008 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She will receive her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in December 2009.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William R. Chance Sr. of Alexander and Mrs. Carolyn Hamilton and the late William L. Hamilton of Sardis. Josh is a 2004 graduate of Edmund Burke Academy. He studied Environmental Horticulture at Augusta Technical College and graduated with honors in 2009. He is currently attending Georgia Southern University, pursing a degree in Business Management. He is employed by Hennigan Engineering Inc.
The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the Millen Baptist Church.
