Susanne Elise Jones and Master Sgt. Ernest Keith Fordham, USA, Retired, were married at 11 a.m. on Dec. 27, 2008, at The Chapel in the Pines in Guido Gardens in Metter, Ga. The Rev. Jamie Archer of Oak Hill Baptist Church of Millen officiated.
Susanne is the daughter of Jearl and Janice Jones of Augusta. She is the granddaughter of Annie Smith and the late Clyde Smith of Metter and the late William and Lottie Jones of Statesboro. Susanne obtained an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from Georgia Southern University and is employed by Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Ga., as a psychometrist. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta, the UDC and the USDAR.
Keith is the son of John and Janice Fordham of Portal. He is the grandson of Velma Foskey and the late John Foskey of Uvalda and the late Lester and Bertis Fordham of Portal. Keith obtained an Associate's degree from Austin Peay State University. He is a retired master sergeant who served 20 years in the United States Army. He is currently self-employed. He is a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Millen, the VFW and the American Legion Post 188.
A luncheon was held after the ceremony at Bevrick's Char House Grille in Metter. The couple honeymooned in London and surrounding cities in England.
They will reside in Augusta and Millen.
