    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hughes of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracey Shanese Hughes, to Terrence Ramon Head, son of Mr. and Mrs. Errol Moore of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
    Miss Hughes is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jake Taylor of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hughes of Albany, Ga. She is a 1993 honor graduate of Statesboro High School and a 1997 summa cum laude graduate of Claflin University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science. Miss Hughes received her Masters of Science degree in computer science from the University of Tennessee in 1999 and is currently pursuing an executive MBA from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School. She is employed by IBM as a senior managing consultant. Miss Hughes is a diamond-life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
    Mr. Head is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Head of Atlanta and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Moore of Charleston, S.C. He is a 1993 graduate of Summerville High School and a 2001 graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Head is currently pursuing a dual MBA/Masters of Science in technology management degree from the University of Maryland.
    He is employed by General Dynamics as a senior lead enterprise architect. Mr. Head is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
    An engagement party was hosted by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hughes, on November 10, 2007, at Snella's Place in Statesboro. Many family members and friends were in attendance.
    The wedding is planned for March 8, 2008, in Charleston, S.C. Invitations have been sent.
