Mr. and Mrs. David M. Gay of Sylvania are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Gay, to Joseph Roswell Evans Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Evans Sr. of Augusta.
The wedding is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, on Saint Simons Island, Ga.
Miss Gay is the granddaughter of J. Yates Smith of New Ellenton, S.C., Margaret K. Smith of North Augusta, S.C., Mrs. Math J. Gay and the late Math J. Gay of Sylvania. She is a 2003 graduate of Bulloch Academy and a 2007 graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelors of Business in health care administration. She plans to attend the Medical College of Georgia in the fall for medical diagnostic sonography.
Mr. Evans is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Al Sutton and the late Mr. and Mrs. William E. Evans Sr., all of Augusta. He is a 2001 graduate of Westside High School and a 2006 graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelors of Science in industrial engineering. He is employed with Shaw Industries, Inc., as a technical engineer.
