On Saturday, September 8, a backyard barbecue was held at the home of Rick and Pam Smith. Hosts were Lee and Jim Anderson, Joy and Bryan Darley, Pat and Jimmy Hill, Barbara and Pete Johnson, Nancy and Walt Mather, Marcia and Frank Parker, Jo Helen and Bubba Propes, Judy and Clyde Redding, Karen and Chuck Shiels and Debra and Gordon Williams.

The hostesses were all DAR friends of the bride and included Faye Adams, Linda Akins, Jan Anderson, Imogene Brannen, Suzanne Brannen, Patricia Cassedy, Jo Chester, Frances Curry, Vera Hitchcock, Verdery Kennedy, Pat Long and Sue Meikle.
Saturday, September 15, was the date for a Bloody Mary Party at the home of Dottie and Walter Garvin. Joining them in hosting was Patricia and Jimmy Blitch, Sylvia and Bob Brannen, Teresa and Aulbert Brannen, Harriette and Ralph Cavender and Bonnie and Fred Grist.
A wedding brunch was held on Saturday, September 22, at the home of lnman and Mary Sue Hodges. Kathryn Olliff and Mary Demmond were also hostesses.
Saturday evening the new couple was entertained with a cocktail party at the home of Cynthia Anderson and Mary Emmye Lewis. A seated southern supper was given by Mary Ann and Robert Franklin, Mert and Jack Slaton, Sylvia and Virgil Harville and Cortes Collins. Guests watched the wedding day video with the new couple.
Virginia Anne and Bill are sponsoring a Habitat home for Bulloch County — the Franklin-Waters Habitat for Humanity House. The couple honored all of the hosts and hostesses with donations in their respective names to the Bulloch County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
