Dr. and Mrs. Richard L. Emert of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Lauren Emert, to Jonathan Dean Hight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie D. Hight.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Martin of Evans, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Emert of Oklahoma City, Okla. She graduated from GSU in May 2006 with a degree in Business Management.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Grace Woodward and the late Harry Woodward of Dublin, Ga., and Mr. Bill Hight and the late Helen Hight of Statesboro. He holds a BBA in Management from GSU and currently works in Savannah.
    The couple plans to wed this fall at the First Baptist Church in Statesboro.
