Candice Catherine Donaldson became the bride of Terrence Jermain Edwards during an evening ceremony held on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Merle Manders Conference Center in Stockbridge, Ga. Elder Patrick Wilson Sr., cousin of the groom, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Catherine Donaldson and Coach Earl Donaldson of Statesboro and is the granddaughter of the late George and Gussie Donaldson and Mr. Harry Henderson Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edwards Jr. of Sandersville, Ga., and is the grandson of Ms. Mayola Watson and Ms. Lorene Edwards.
The bride and groom are both graduates of The University of Georgia. Candice is employed as a math teacher in Stockbride, Ga. Terrence played football while at UGA and signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2003. He is currently a Canadian football wide receiver who currently plays for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose her best friend, Veronica Scott, and her sister, Pamela Donaldson, to be her maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Jocelyn James, Jill Henderson and Crystal Churchwell, cousins of the bride; Sakeitha Maze, sister of the groom; Niesha Harris, Chandra Lewis, Arian Williams and Tia Sanders, friends of the bride; and Lakisha Carter, friend of the groom. Malani Mitchell, cousin of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. Flower girls were Kennedy Edwards and Justice Edwards, nieces of the groom. Kennedy Donaldson, niece of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Best men were brothers of the groom, Robert Edwards III and Anthony Edwards. The couple will honeymoon in Honolulu, Hawaii, and make their home in Atlanta.
