Isabel Ashley Cordua Matthew Phillip Stafford
    Mr. and Mrs. Melville Lamarque Cordua of Madison, Miss., announce the engagement of their daughter, Isabel Ashley Cordua, to Matthew Phillip Stafford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stafford of Statesboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Malcolm Lang Paterson of Shubuta, Miss., and the late Mr. Malcolm Lang Paterson of Live Oak, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anthony Cordua of Managua, Nicaragua. Miss Cordua graduated from Jackson Academy and the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She teaches pre-k at Second Ponce Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Britton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Earl Lambert, all of Columbia, S.C. Mr. Stafford is a graduate of Statesboro High School and the University of Georgia, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He is employed as a senior manager at Cbeyond Communications in Atlanta.
    The couple will exchange vows November 7 at six o'clock in the evening at Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson, Miss.
    Following the wedding, they will reside in Atlanta.
