Miri Barber Jayson Carter Cribb
 Mr. and Mrs. William Raymond Barber of Waycross announce the engagement of their daughter, Miri Barber of Statesboro, to Jayson Carter Cribb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hayward Carter Cribb.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rhoda Barber and the late Leo Barber of Manor  and the late Takeyoshi and Mieko Morinaga of Saga, Japan. She graduated salutatorian from Waycross High School in 1991 and from Berry College in 1995, magna cum laude, with a BS degree in science. She attended graduate school at Georgia Southern University and will be teaching science at Statesboro High School this fall.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Clara Belle and the late Carter Cribb and Virginia and the late Marvin Stone, all of Willacoochee, Ga. He is 1988 graduate of Berrien County High School and attended GSU. He is the owner of Bulloch Backhoe and Bulldozing.
    The couple plans to wed on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 3 p.m. at the the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Alapaha, Ga.
    No local invitations have been sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony and the reception to immediately follow in the church social hall.
