NFL legend Frank Gifford died last week at 84, leaving behind his wife and "Today" show host, Kathie Lee Gifford.

Kathie Lee Gifford responded to her husbands death on Twitter, saying her faith would carry her forward.

The verse mentioned in the tweet, Philippians 4:13, reads: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Gifford returned to the "Today" show Tuesday for the first time since her husbands death. She shared loving thoughts about her husband and explained how faith guided her and her husbands lives.

He strayed from his faith on occasion, but his faith never left him, Gifford said in her speech.
