Business Review - 180 fitness has commitment to fitness and wellness

A workout area of 180 fitness is shown.

In 2006, Angie Hitchens and Brandon Blair founded 180 fitness. Angie had managed Gold's Gym for 10 years prior to its closing and Brandon was an employee of Gold's. Together they have a commitment at 180 to bring our community together through fitness and wellness.
Located at 4-A College Plaza behind Zaxby's, 180 fitness is a 17,000-square-foot full-service fitness facility. The main floor consists of over 40 pieces of resistance equipment and cardio machines, a separate free weight room, small group training Studio; a free, supervised Kids Care Center, private locker rooms, a steam sauna, tanning beds, a pro-shop/smoothie bar, and a lounge area with complimentary coffee & free wireless internet. Upstairs boasts a 3000-sq.-ft. Group Fitness Room, a Spinning Room (with cardiotheater), a Cardiovascular deck (with treadmills, cross trainers, bikes, stairmasters, stepmills & tvs), and Boxing Room with heavy bags and speed bags.
180 fitness offers 1 month, 3 month, semester, and 1 year memberships. Amenities such as fitness assessments, circuit training, child care, and group fitness classes (over 45 per week) are FREE with every membership. There is always an employee on-site to give tours, offer assistance, or answer any questions. "Our goal is to provide a safe, clean, fun, family-oriented, non-imtimidating facility with the best equipment, classes, programs, and staff in Statesboro", said Brandon Blair.
Giving back is important to Angie and Brandon. Most recently, 180 fitness led the 1st Annual 5k Fundraiser "Bubbles in the Boro", raising $11,500 for our own Alma Freeman's fight against cancer.
"There is something to be said for loving what you do and wanting to come to work every day. We want that to show in our continued efforts to provide a place of stress relief, camaraderie, and most of all fun. We want our slogan, "turn your life around", to epitomize 180 fitness, our members, our staff, and our community", said Angie Hitchens.
