    ▲ BEN GRADY COLLINS ROAD/PORTAL-METTER HIGHWAY — A man and his wife were riding in a semi-truck when they heard and felt a boom. They found impact damage, but deputies said it did not look "exactly" like bullet holes, although the complainant said it sounded like a gunshot.
    ▲ ACES STOP AND GO — The owners allowed their alcohol and tobacco license to expire, as they were selling the business. They said the potential new owners had removed inventory from the store but then changed their minds about purchasing the store, and now the current owners are concerned that they cannot sell their merchandise while their license is expired. They are also concerned about the merchandise taken.
    ▲ G.W. OLIVER ROAD — A man reported receiving W2 forms from places he had never worked.
    ▲ WOMACK ROAD — A man reported the theft of a riding lawn mower from his shed, which had been broken into.
    ▲ JIM FUTCH ROAD — A man reported a cellphone was purchased in his deceased father's name.
    ▲ OLD REGISTER ROAD — A man reported the theft of a firearm.

➤ Statesboro Police Department
    ▲ MORRIS STREET — A verbal argument turned physical when one person struck another. The victim suffered visible injuries.
    ▲ KMART — A person was cited and released after shoplifting $25 worth of audiovisual items.
    ▲ WAL-MART NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET — A person was cited for shoplifting $29 worth of Lay's potato chips.
    ▲ UNIVERSITY PLAZA — An entering auto suspect who was apprehended by witnesses was charged with criminal trespass and possession of drug-related objects.
    ▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — A person was charged with battery/family violence after a dispute.
    ▲ ELM STREET — A woman said her children's father struck her and pushed her down.
    ▲ BELK — Someone was arrested and jailed after shoplifting a $169 watch.
    ▲ INSTITUTE STREET — A woman said her father struck her in the face with his fist. Her boyfriend told police the offender hit him in the arm with a stick. Two involved were charged with simple battery/family violence.

    ▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted five motorists.
    ▲ KENNEDY HALL PARKING LOT — Someone reported a theft.
    ▲ FOC — Someone reported a theft.
    ▲ SOUTHERN COURTYARD — Officers responded to a suspicious person report.
    ▲ RECREATION ACTIVITY CENTER — A person was arrested on criminal trespass charges.
    ▲ EAGLE VILLAGE — A suspect was judicially referred for a drug complaint. No arrest was listed.
    ▲ LOT 11 — Someone reported an entering auto.
    ▲ DINING COMMONS — Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person.
