Police report - 8-24-14; Euthanized at animal shelter — 22 dogs and 13 cats.

ARRESTS
    ▲ Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

    ▲ BOWEN ROAD —Portal) A man was arrested around 4 p.m. Thursday on charges of methamphetamine possession and wanted person.
    ▲ EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER — A woman told deputies around 11 a.m. Thursday that she fell through a deck on Redbreast Road and hurt herself. She went to the emergency room and when she was ready to be discharged, her friend did not appear to pick her up. Emergency room staff received a message that her car was in the parking lot, and deputies found it with her belongings and a note from the friend telling her not to return to his house because he could not help her further.

    ▲ The shelter reported the following activity during the week of Aug. 11-17:
    ▲ Surrendered by citizens — 15 dogs and eight cats from rural county areas; five dogs and five cats from City of Statesboro.
    ▲ Collected by officers — 12 dogs and 13 cats from rural county areas; four dogs and two cats from City of Statesboro.
    ▲ Adopted from shelter — seven dogs and a cat.
    ▲ Reclaimed by owners — four dogs.
    ▲ Died at shelter — seven cats.
    ▲ Euthanized — 22 dogs and 13 cats.
    ▲ Fees collected - $845.
