Police Report - 6-29-14; Euthanized at animal shelter — 12 cats and 12 dogs.

    ▲ Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

➤ Bulloch Sheriff’s Office
    ▲ Brian Jerome Holmes, 22, Rucker Lane — marijuana possession with intent to distribute.
    ▲ Christopher Ryan O’Neal, 39, Georgia Highway 46, Register — simple battery.
    ▲ Ryan Tracy Saunders, 21, Rucker Lane — public intoxication, theft by taking.
    ▲ Luke Dickey Boyd, 21, Wiley Bottom Road, Savannah — public intoxication.
    ▲ Walter Frank Hughes Jr., 24, Georgia Highway 159, Ashburn — bench warrant, DUI (refused test), driving too fast for conditions.

    ▲ Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

➤ Bulloch Sheriff’s Office
    ▲ OWENS ROAD — (Statesboro) A man told deputies around 10:40 a.m. Thursday that relatives were living without permission in a home his brother owns. He suspects the family staying there has intimidated his brother, who is mentally incapable of making decisions regarding the matter, and believes they stole his medication as well.
    ▲ PIONEER TRAIL — (Portal) A man claimed he was visiting a neighbor around 8:30 p.m. Thursday when a man rode by on a golf cart and threatened to shoot him if  he set foot on the offender’s property.
    ▲ PINE INN ESTATES — A woman told deputies around 11:30 p.m. Thursday that a man choked her during an argument. She suffered visible injuries, and the man was arrested.

➤ Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    ▲ The shelter reported the following activity during the week of June 16-22:
    ▲ Surrendered by citizens — seven dogs and 11 cats from rural county areas; four dogs and nine cats from City of Statesboro.
    ▲ Collected by officers — nine dogs and five cats from rural county areas; three dogs and one cat from City of Statesboro.
    ▲ Adopted from shelter — one dog and four cats.
    ▲ Reclaimed by owners — four dogs.
    ▲ Died at shelter — one dog and seven cats.
    ▲ Euthanized — 12 cats and 12 dogs.
    ▲ Fees collected — $608.
