Sea Island appoints Crider, Marsh to Advisory Board

               Sea Island Bank in Statesboro, a division of Synovus Bank, announced recently the appointment of Dr. Ruthie Crider and Laura Marsh to its Statesboro Advisory Board. Dr. Crider is an ER physician at East Georgia Regional Medical Center and Marsh is a member of the law firm Taulbee, Rushing, Snipes, Marsh & Hodgin.
        "Ruthie and Laura are leaders in their respective professions and share a deep commitment to the people of Bulloch County," said Chad Wiggins, Statesboro market president. "We are proud to welcome them to our board, and we look forward to benefiting from their counsel as we continue to serve Statesboro and Bulloch County."
        Dr. Crider graduated Cum Laude with Honors from the University of Georgia, earning a BS in Biology and elected Phi Beta Kappa. She received her Medical Doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine and was president of her class.         Crider completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center and is a partner of Georgia Emergency Associates.
        She is a current board member of Statesboro Service League and the Statesboro Chapter of the American Red Cross. Dr. Crider is a member of Ogeechee River Medical Society, the Medical Association of Georgia, and a graduate of Leadership Bulloch. She has received the Deen Day Smith Service to Mankind Award. Dr. Crider is a recurrent guest physician on TLC's and Discovery Life's television series "Untold Stories of the ER."
        Marsh earned a BS in Finance from Florida State University and received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. At Georgia, she was a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review, the Intrastate and National Moot Court teams, Blue Key, and Phi Kappa Phi.
        She began her legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City. Marsh is a member and past president of the Statesboro Service League and has served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Bulloch County and the Bulloch County Chapter of the American Heart Association.
        In July 2016, Governor Nathan Deal appointed Marsh to the Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia, where she represents the 12th Congressional District.
