This Poll is rigged. You vote and it don't count. Then the amounts decreases while others increases. How does some vote get removed once they are placed?
Does the Herald have biasis opinons or hidden agenda? what happen to fair and balanced reporting. The news is suposed to be facts. Use the Editoral Page for your opinons Please. Hollie Bragg has so many unhidden adgendas.

Why in the world would anybody be in favor of chemical dumping into our rivers? This is a bad question!

I think it's a fair question. Maybe it could have worded it more directly, like: Are jobs more important than river pollution? Pity the dead fish had no vote.

King America Finishing’s reputation is being stolen from them by people misquoting the information and jumping conclusions. If the EPD reports traces of chemicals in small amounts within permitted standards are found in the river, the local media reports chemicals are found, then the next time it is reported they high levels of chemicals are found. Then following that you hear extremely high levels are found. The EPD & EPA has been camped out there since the fish kill and are doing inspections, testing, interviewing employees, reviewing record and can’t find anything wrong. The EPD has made suggests of improvement and King has made these changes. The EPD continues to monitor the actives of King waste Treatment facility.
King has been an environmental partner with the community for over 45 years. They have a huge investment in their waste treatment facility. And has a Lab to test the water and sends samples off to an independent lab for double checking. The employees have approx. 1000 acres that they deer hunt on and fish behind the plant and eat them. They are live alligators living in the final stage of the waste treatment facility.
What if King Finishing has done nothing wrong? The facts said 98% of the time Columbaria disease fish kill is causes by natural stressors, like spawning, high temperature and low water flow. The community has people spraying badly diseased pine trees, regular farming, hog farm waste, turf farming with chemicals & fertilizers being spread. All these chemicals are going in the river untreated?

Blue you offer good points. But sometimes good people with the best intentions make mistakes. A lot of folks on the river are complaining they see bad discharge coming from the "pipe." They want the discharge to stop until this is all cleared up. That's why it's all in the news these days. The government has a bad reputation of covering bad things up in the past. EPD and King Finishing both may have been a bit slow to give answers which casts more doubt. Have you been swimming and eating fish from the river lately? People who live on the river are scared. Sure hope this all works out.
